NTFS write support
Собрал новое ядро 2.6.18.3 с поддержкой записи на NTFS, но ничего не работает. Почему?

потому что надо копать не только в эту сторону.
У тебя в дитрибутиве есть программка которая называется ntfs-3g используй ее.
Установи, с ее помощью примонтируй раздел и будет тебе великая радость.

Поддержка записи в ядре отсутствует. Присутствует только поддержка чтения и перезаписи файлов.

И лечше ей не пользоваться, у знакомого как-то слетела ntfs при перезаписи, вот ntfs-3g другое дело

раз такое началось, то и я вопрос задам.
как в ntfs-3g работать с файлами, у которых имя в кириллице? они вообще никак не отображаются - будто бы их нет. монтируется с utf-8, со стандартным драйвером (непишущим) проблем нет.

вводишь пароль, потом идешь в установку нового ПО, и набираешь в поиске прогу. в твоем дистре она есть, ну или по крайней мере должна быть. У меян LinuxCenterEdition стоит, имеется powerpack и discovery и в каждом имеется эта софтина. Так что устанавливай из репозитария который на диске и не трать трафик и время на сборку.

Все утсановил.
В fstab прописал
/dev/sda1 /media/scsidisk3 ntfs-3g defaults,nls=cp1251 0 0
Все отлично, но при загрузке Linux пишет.

Это исходные тексты ядра Linux.
Надо становить такие пакеты: kernel-headers, kernel-devel, kernel-doc

вот вроде установил, но ntfs-3g все равно пишет что старый fuse
На запрос grep fuse /var/log/messages выдает:

При загрузке ошибку о старом fuse все еще выдает

fuse - это модуль ядра и набор утилит. Когда компилируете из сорцов, нужно указать, что нужно собрать новый модуль ядра.

Я скомпилировал Fuse 2.6.2, затем ntfs-3g.
но все равно выдает.
Расскажите по конкретнее и по проще что надо сделать. Где и что указать?

должны быть соответствующие опции в configure, посмотри ./configure --help
