Добрый день!
Вы не поверите, но ко мне опять пришёл Серёга Лях. На сей раз он принёс мобильный телефон Nokia N70 и USB-кабель, чтобы можно было подключить его к компьютеру. Компьютер мой.
Как сделать, чтобы Linux обнаружил устройство? Под Windows сразу определяется как FLASH-накопитель. Linux стесняется и молчит.

Дистр? Mandriva? Тогда должен определяться так же, как и любая флешка

Не знаю... Видимо Mandriva нам ничего не должна. Нету флэшки: ни в "Устройствах", ни в папке /mnt.

А что dmesg пишет? А лучше перед стыковкой запустить tail -f /var/log/messages

У моей девушки Nokia 5200 без проблем определилась на Mandriva 2007 как флешка. Вот теперь бы еще софт найти чтобы телефонную книгу можно было редактировать.

ыыы... ужо много раз спрашивали... Нокии, по крайней мере N серий не работают в никсах как флешки... Только как модемы =(
Это плохо... нет чтобы все по стандарту делать... к примеру SonyEricson W серий приспойкойно без всяких "курений" манов и форумов определяются как флешка и модем и с этитми двумя устройствами одновременно можно работать
