[ASP] Проблемы с ядром 2.6.8.1

Ставил я себя вчера целый день новое ядрышко. И так ставил, и сяк, но толку - маловато будет.
Вся фигня в том, что после загрузки в новое ядро не работает модем (/dev/modem not fount), нету звука и не работает скролинго окон при помощи мышки. Устройство /dev/cdrom тоже отсутствует.

Звук у меня довольно интересный. Поскольку господа АСПовцы сдуру подключили к моей звуковухи не тот модуль (nvaudio), то мне приходилось подключать нужный (i810_audio) вручную. Так вот в новом ядре (ALSA в ядро вкомпилена) таких модулей вообще нет. Поддержку своего чипсета ставил. Что делать то? А то ведь больно ядро хорошее... грузится быстро собака...
Ни кто на свете не заметит - нас не стало, ни кто не вспомнит здесь о нас...

Так вот в новом ядре (ALSA в ядро вкомпилена) таких модулей вообще нет. Поддержку своего чипсета ставил

что-то не пойму? если ставил значит модуль по-другому зовется.
И немедленно выпил.

может и есть, но тогда как они называются?
я, кстати, сегодня посмотрел в новом ядре сожержимое каталога /dev - устройств очень мало.. при чем в корневом каталоге ни floopy, ни двух cd-rom нету... есть каталог /dev/cdrom и в нем устройство cdrom0, но я пока его не пробовал монтировать, дп и в системе у меня ДВА cdrom'a
Ни кто на свете не заметит - нас не стало, ни кто не вспомнит здесь о нас...

при выборе в конфиге ядра можно нажать help, иногда там бывает типа такого: "module will be called tra-lal-la.o"
И немедленно выпил.

дык сделай под рутом ln -s /dev/hdd /dev/cdrom и ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/dvd вот тебе
и сидюки появяться :devil_2:
если модем стоит на COM1 то ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/modem
сли модем стоит на COM2 то ln -s /dev/ttyS1 /dev/modem
и будует счастье

/dev/cdrom обычно симлинк на нужный девайс.
Да и ядро стабильное уже поновее вышло.

Устройства находятся в /dev/cdroms/cdrom*
Вот с них делаеш сим линки и все должно работать.

Так я и пытался приаттачить. Но видетели в чем вся фигня - не дают мне. Говорят нет прав на присоединение фалов с таким расширением.
