Как установить видеодрайвер на intel 865G

Расскажите пожалуйста как устанавливается видеодрайвер на эту карточку, подробно.

На нвидию и радеоны описаний полно, а на интел чего-то не нашел.
И как настроить 3D на ней?

нечего ставить не надо, он полностью открытый и поэтому идёт в стандартном наборе пaкетов xorg

xserver-xorg-video-intel - ?

И какой должен быть xorg.conf

Такое ощущение, что окна отрисовываются медленно, и при перемещении окна за ним тянется шлейф его копий.

Не играюсь. Как можно проверить по другому?

xorg.conf поправил.

# glxinfo | grep rendering
bash: glxinfo: команда не найдена

скачал с сайта интел последний драйвер на графику, но ./configure ругается следующими словами:

checking for XORG... configure: error: Package requirements (xorg-server xproto fontsproto ) were not met:

No package 'xorg-server' found
No package 'fontsproto' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

and XORG_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

таких пакетов я что то не нашел... Куда копать?
пытался обновить из репозитария, но установка вываливает кучу конфликтов х-сервера, а у меня не анлим, так что из репа мне пока не обновиться...
А почему все хотят жить в раю?! я хочу жить в аду, среди демонов...

Я на федоре 10 ставил из rawhide пакет xorg-x11-proto-devel-7.4-XXX.fc11.noarch, он за собой приволок еще livXext и еще не помню какие пакеты, весило все немного.
По поводу xserver'а - xorg-x11-server-devel

что бы не создавать нову тему отпишусь здесь:
графика intel GMA 950 интегрирвоанная в мамку gigabyte 8i945gmf.
debian 5.0, ядро 2.6.26-2-686

в xorg.conf прописанно:
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
Driver "intel"

при этом glxinfo | grep rendering выдает:

Ошибка сегментирования

в /var/log/Xorg.0.log, есть ероры:
(EE) intel(0): [dri] I830CheckDRIAvailable failed because of a version mismatch.

пробовал делать как здесь:
http://ubuntueasy.com/oborudovanie/ubuntu-...irect-rendering
причем:
make LINUXDIR=/lib/modules/`uname -r`/build DRM_MODULES=i915
делал DRM_MODULES и i830 и i945 (по номеру чипсета)

Основаная проблема в том что интерфейс (gnome) отрисовываеться и работает как то инертно и медленно, за окнами при перемещении остаеться шлейф.

Может кто подскажет как это можно вылечить?
Вся жизнь игра, сюжет фуфло, но клевая графика.

Rus, нужно под root выполнить команду glxinfo | grep rendering (а решетку писать не надо, она лишь здесь говорит нам о том, что команда задается от имени суперпользователя).

Тоже маюсь с чипсетом 82945GZ скачал исходники драйверов с интела, запускаю ./configure тоже ввыдавал ошибку :

Немного полазив по капиталистичес
ким сайтам нашел что надо указать пути к исходникам и библиотекам xorg.
набираем в  bash:
XORG_LIBS=/usr/lib/xorg
XORG_CFLAGS=/usr/include/xorg
export XORG_LIBS
export XORG_CFLAGS
затем снова ./configure
все ок,
но запустив make получаю такую ошибку:

Поставьте пакет xserver-xorg-dev
И вообще, в случае если при конфигурировании не подтягиваются хедеры нужно ставить -dev (или -devel, от дистрибутива зависит) пакет к требуемым библиотекам. Собственно, в этих пакетах и содержатся, в основном, .h файлы.

После обновления до Squeeze возникла проблема - некоторые игрушки ужасно медленно работают, окно audacious по экрану переместить невозможно - еле плывет, прокрутка в браузере тормозит.....
Вобщем я понимаю отвалилось 3D ускорение. Как вернуть?

xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.13.0 сломанный на видяхах без KMS. При том непонятно то-ли из-за ядра, то-ли сам драйвер, то-ли х-сервер. Потому что на opensuse 11.2 работало, а на ubuntu 9.10 нет.
Нет тут подписи и не будет.

Поставил xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.15 из тестинга. Стало намного лучше.

i915 из mesa-7.7.1 медленный. Но обновится из анстейбла не получится. Тянет кучу других библиотек. Так что либо собирать руками (libdrm, mesa и обновлять ядро), либо сидеть с тем, что дали.

s3tc поставьте:
