Первым делом после закачки проверьте md5 сумму образа (под Win есть fsum и др., под Linux -- в комплекте md5sum). Если не сошлась, не надо резать образ, его нужно выправить (или в совсем уж клиническом случае качать заново -- мало интерсного -- особенно, если порча скачки явление стабильное).
Если соединение неустойчивое, теряются/бьются пакеты, воспользуйтесь лучше торрентом, укажите ему уже скачанный файл в качестве назначения, он докачает только недостающие/битые куски.
Если скачиваете из под Linux, можно аналогичным образом выправить ошибки при помощи rsync (вменяемого клиента под Win не знаю).

секретов в этом деле нет. в сети можно найти пач для ядра 2.6.32. скачайте и откройте его своим любимым текстовым редактором. замените пути к файлам с 2.6.32 на 2.6.34

Сегодня поставил 13.1.
Первая проблема: Система загружается со второго раза, т.е. как я думаю, как только слака начинает подгружать видеодрайвер, экран становиться просто черным, но видно что система продолжает работать, но ничего на монитор так и не выводиться, приходиться перезагружать и со второго раза в большинстве случаев система благополучно загружается, ну а следующий запуск опять выведет черный экран. в слаке 13.0 всё было нормально (чипсет GMA X3100)
Вторая проблема: mc почему-то запускается ровно через 1 минуту после вызова его в консоли, после русификации он показывал много фокусов и на этом он пока остановился, с задержкой запускается не только он но и startx хотя он простаивает около 15c

модуль nouveau нужно добавить в blacklist , можно прямо в загрузчике или в /etc//etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
... ну я же просил четыреста капель , а сдесь четыреста две ...

Насколько я помню, Патрик nouveau убрал перед релизом 13.1.
У меня были пляски с загрузкой со второго раза, когда стояло две системы, Слака и ХРюша, а в биосе включен был AHCI. Но там все косяки ХРюши, она не понимала AHCI.

м-да , не углядел , я то обновлялся с 13.0 в течении всего времени пока 13.1 строили и в один прекрасный момент словил черный экран . Долго разбирался пока понял в чем дело ( стоит все-таки проверить блэклист мало ли ... )

Действительно, у меня сейчас две системы слака и семерка, а nouveau вообще не причем у меня видюха intel

проблема с вашей видюхой сдесь видимо (пусть меня поправят знающие) нашёл несколько решений в гугле , но помогут ли они вам ? ТыЦ и ТыЦ

Сорь, что сюда. Но не охота много тем городить. Подскажите плиз нормальный микшер звука для слаки с поддержкой горячих клавиш. А то kmix слишком много памяти жрёт.

Или я чего-то не понимаю, или вот ваша проблема:
Пропишите в ручную в lilo.conf разрешение и параметры консоли. А то сама она у вас никак не определиться.
Извиняюсь, проглядел, что все уже и так расписали. Кстати там похоже еще и ACPI с рэйдами не совсем нормально работает.

Изменение lilo непомогло, сейчас переустановил, программы стали без задержки запускаться, а проблема с загрузкой так и осталась.

Система сначала нормально загружается потом всё пропадает - черный экран, жду когда система загрузиться вслепую ввожу пользователя и пароль и startx и нормально Иксы работают
в lilo vga=normal, где бы еще покрутить???
