Разрешение

Помогите пожалуйста. У меня на работе компьютер. Каждый день перед уходом делал /etc/init.d/gdm stop, когда приходил ...start. Сегодня стартую gdm а у меня появляется красный квадрат - Недопустимый режим. Я сделал X -configure и теперь у меня 800х600. Полдскажите как поправить

1. Какое разрешение "родное" для вашего монитора (или какое вам нужно)?

Это такой он после X -configure ничего не правил. А разрешение не помню, 1024 на сколько-то вроде

Я переустановил драйвер, все наладилось.
