xorg 7.5 (xorg.conf.d & xorg.conf)

Привет всем.

тут пишут http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/lucid/...org.conf.5.html, что xorg.conf
всё-таки обрабатывается... Но у меня почему-то на него тупо забивали...
Может это быть из-за того, что нет layout? я делал в своём только screen.

Судя по этому, вы правы. Попробуйте создать полный xorg.conf, убрав секции, которые автоматически подставляются так, как вас устраивает.

Их можно указать в секции Device, примерно так:
