Mandriva 2005, сеть Win и принтер в сети

Всем привет!
Суть вот в чем...
Есть сеть из н-ого количества виндос машин... встал вопрос о переводе некоторых машин на линукс.
Опыт проводится с одной из них. Стоит Mandriva 2005 (club Edition) все ок, сеть, принтера видит на виндос машинах, но не печатает на них... нет выхода...
И еще одна фишка..., если в сети расшаренный win ресурс на русском языке, то с лин. машины виден как абырвал... но если латиница - все Ок... и дальше вся кириллица видна нормально.
В связи с этим - 2 вопроса:
1. Как заставить Linux машину печатать на win принтер ? (при условии видимости принтера)
2. И как заставить Samba видеть русские расшаренные ресурсы? (правка smb.conf ни к чему не приводит)

1. Поставить cups и заглянуть в настройки localhost:631?
2. Зайди в настройки Konqueror'a/kcontrol'a и выставить нужную кодировку?

1. Cups - стоит... в настройках localhost гулял... при попытке печатать дает ошибку в невозможности соединиться с удаленным сервером (где стоит принтер), при этом сеть в норме... ресурс вижу и хожу туда без проблем
2. Кодировки менялись - толку нет внешние расшаренные ресурсы на русском - абырвал..., но если зайти внутрь - -там все Ок

2. Писали уже об этом не раз - пропиши правильные кодировки в smb.conf - конкверор их оттуда берёт.

Если внимательно прочитать мое первое послание, то там написано, что правка smb.conf ни к чему не привела

Я его почти не резал... , интересно то, что smb4 - умеет печать, у него поменялся абырвал на читаемое, но не открывает русские ресурсы...

В smb.conf все норм, вроде. Шары на виндовой машине?

шары на виндовых машинах в поряде, там где латиница проблем нет, там где русский - кирдык...
про большой файл..., надо было из-под рута, из-под юзера не аттачит

Но осталась проблема принтера, да и русских шаров...
русские шары из-под smb4k видны нормально, но не монтируются... а foo говорит про принтер, что access denied, а из под smb4 уходит на принтер и даже что-то печатает, но... гонит пустые листы.......

недавно настраивал принтер в Mandriva 2005
у меня Xerox Phaser 3120, он почти анологичен
принтеру Samsung 1510, но при подключении Win-клиента
к этому принтеру все таки потребовались дрова.
Решил я слить виндовские дрова через Самбу на Винду чтобы
драйвер установить, а мне с CD-ROM вопрос
"Хотите ли запустить Autorun"
Оказалось что на одном диске, каким то образом записаны
две сессии для Windows (видится только там) и для Linux
Вот так случайно я нашел дрова на свой принтер

Тоесть тебе в любом случае надо искать дрова для Lnux,
что было нормальное сопряжение в командах принтера

Драйвера ставит сам MDK - свои... , но по пробовать стоит.
Но вот про расшаренные ресурсы так никто ничего сказать не может.

Все по прежнему...
На диске, естественно нет драйверов на принтер под линукс... нашел в сети, но все без разницы...

Да кстати печать я настроил получилось все очень просто
но с кодировкой тоже проблема была, но вот прикол
в чем, если ты заходишь в сеть через проводник то все нормально
а вот если через TotalCMD то русские буковки отображаются
черточками _______ и кирдык
в мануале прочитал что надо колдовать вот над этими строками
