А насколько оно устойчивое, может лучше каким нибудь real/true crypt'ом зашифровать?

Вопрос не в том, чем шифровать, а в том, каким алгоритмом. При выборе алгоритма, а так же длине ключа, надо хотя бы приблизительно представлять уровень важности шифруемой информации, а так же возможности тех, кто будет пытаться ее расшифровать.
