Падение иксов в Kubuntu 6.06

У Kubuntu через некоторое время после установки начались проблемы: иногда иксы загружаются с низким разрешением. Причём не понятно, от чего это зависит. Чаще всё было нормально. Теперь иксы не запускаются совсем, виснет всё, только ctrl+alt+del помогают. В recovery mode после startx ругаются
иксы вот так:

Не подскажите, что делать?

Покажи нам свой конфиг xorg.conf и полный лог X-server'а. Скорее всего проблема в неправильном конфигурировании режимов видеокарты.

Посмотри в логах что пишется про BusID и пропиши в xorg.conf в секцию Devices

BusID "PCI:1:0:0" - нужное значение

Если бы сдохла видюха, то изображения не было бы совсем.
BusID "PCI:1:0:0", это если видюха AGP.
P.S.Народ, а у видюшной PCI-Express тоже PCI:1:0:0?

А если с диска Kubuntu установить Xorg более ранней версии (предварительно удалив из системы более новую), это может решить проблему?

Подскажите, а как впредь не обновлять Xorg (обновляя все остальные компоненты) и заткнуть надоедающий предложениями обновиться Adept?
