Решил все таки поставить xgl. Следовал указаниям этого http://ubuntu.ru/Wiki/XglHowto howto. И в общем после установки этого
apt-get install nvidia-glx и этого apt-get install xserver-xgl. У меня началась проблема. Иксы нифига не стартуют - выдается ошибка и предложение поглядеть лог. Если ничего не глядеть - везде отвечать нет - будет голая консоль, а если из этой голой консоли вновь поставить дрова ни видеокарту - то иксы запустятся. После перезагрузки иксы вновь отказываются запускаться.
Как исправить?
ЗЫ nvidia-glx и xserver-xgl я удалилю.

Дык вы лог и покажите, а то хрен его знает чо вы наделали. А вообще начал мочить, так добивай, шоб не мучалось(про название темы).

apt-get install nvidia-glx и этого apt-get install xserver-xgl. У меня началась проблема. Иксы нифига не стартуют - выдается ошибка и предложение поглядеть лог. Если ничего не глядеть - везде отвечать нет - будет голая консоль, а если из этой голой консоли вновь поставить дрова ни видеокарту - то иксы запустятся. После перезагрузки иксы вновь отказываются запускаться.
Как исправить?
ЗЫ nvidia-glx и xserver-xgl я удалилю.
Позволю себе задать несколько вопросов:
- если у Вас Debian, то почему Вы ставили опираясь на инструкцию для Ubuntu
дистрибьютивы конечно родственные, но, честно говоря, для меня ход мысли не совсем понятен, вот если бы для Debian небыло бы инструкций, но - http://www.google.ru/search?q=xgl+debian&...n-US:unofficial, посмотрите сами
- как Вы стартовали X-ы
- что пишется в логах, надеюсь Вы последовали рекомендациям и посмотрели их
Если ничего не глядеть - везде отвечать нет - будет голая консоль
- ничего не понятно, я так понимаю логи Вы не смотрели, но вот где Вы отвечали "нет" я не понимаю

у себя я просто удалил из xorg.conf все что связано с wacom....

А wacom это случайно не планшеты?
В дисгармонии со вселенной.
