iptables (как проверить?)

Запустил у себя iptables...Работает....вроде бы....
Собсно вопрос в чем, как мне провеить работоспособность сего файервола....действительно ли он у мя работает? ....или я просто так думаю.....

Ну собственно, способ проверки зависит от того под какие задачи ты его настраивал (т.е. просто stand-alone firewall, NAT или еще что).
Попробуй для начала nmap или telnet на конкретный порт.

А чем nmap не устраивает?

Впринципе я его не настраивал, я скачал просто готовый конфиг
