Проблема следующая. Собираю сабж версии 1.4.5 из сорцев, но по команде ./configure в конце упорно вылазит мессага о том, что Ruby не установлен, хотя он стоит и версия удовлетворяет условиям. Убил часа 3 на изыскания, но ничего не получилось. Куда копать? Или там какой то пакет нужен, которого у меня нет? тогда какой????

ммм.... что конкретно ты хочешь там найти? у меня в линухе инета нет, сижу в винде, поэтому может я так скажу?
скрипт выпонялся нормально, проходил создание makefile, а потом в такой псевдографической рамочке пишет amaroK will not build бла бла бла (типа, Ruby у тебя нет и иди ка ты на сайт, качай и ставь)

А чем Вас не устривает rpm?

А у вас установлены именно develop версии необходимых пакетов (того же ruby, например)?

Отчётливо видно, что оно не нашло заголовочные файлы ruby. В Fedora Core (и подобных дистрибутивах) нужный пакет называется ruby-devel. В других бинарных дистрибутивах скорее всего так же.
