проблема со звуком

я линуксом пользуюсь первый день и у меня нет звука
помогите пожалуйста

кстати у меня openSuse 10.2

Первым делом, обычно, помимо дистра, нужно указывать железку, так как она может вообще в принципе не работать в линуксе. Попробуйте alsaconf от рута.

я сделал так как вы сказали и выскочила эта надпись "this script is a configurator for Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver" и там только нажать "ок" и я нажал и потом выскочил список с надписью сверху "select card"
я был направильном пути?
я там посмотрел и сильно ничего не понял!!! А что дальше делать со списком?

Попробуйте команды от рута:

Я уже точно не помню, может эти модули зависят друг от друга и каждый отдельно грузить не надо, но первую команду точно надо дать. Потом включите каналы (просто все вверх перетащите), дав сперва команду

У меня такая же проблема, после установки не воспроизводится звук! Сделал всё как вы написали, но результатов нет, звука как небыло, так и нет! Только у меня звуковая невстроенная - SB Audigy. Может поможете, а то без музыки жуть как не хочется сидеть

alsamixer нужно использовать после загрузки модулей. Что-то действительно странно, что нет в системе modprobe (попробуйте запускать его с полным путем: /sbin/modprobe), если его нет, нужно поставить пакет module-init-tools (или что-то похожее).

Только у меня звуковая невстроенная - SB Audigy.

Ну вот, все отлично Просто видать папка /sbin не прописана в путях. Тогда просто вводите команды с полным путем к modprobe:

В alsamixer'e каналы стоят на mute по дефолту. Сначала надо M нажать, а потом стрелочкой вверх увеличить громкость. Пробовали?

Похоже что он действительно выполняет не из под рута... Если операция запрещена.
По поводу аудиджи. Если в ясте нашлась звуковуха, потом зупускаешь alsaconf из-под рута и всё будет работать нормально. Сегодня себе аудиджи прикупил(Audigy 2 ZS), заработала на ура.

Нет, с модулем у меня всё нормально: snd - ca0106, я не знаю, как сделать чтоб аморок, да и другие программы начали звук воспроизводить! Например аморок пишет, что xine не смог инициализировать звуковые драйвера, alsamixer: "function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device" и т.д. и т.п.
Да, если точнее у меня SB Audigy LS.
