опять NVIDIA - не ставится nvidia.ko (Geforce 2)

Geforce 2
поставил мандрива поверпак 2007.0
при установке дрова ставил проприетарные
однако Х отказались грузиться
Mandriva 2007 PowerPack и Geforce 2
вот тут тему создал
вопрос не про это
по инструкциям из фака я ставил дрова из файла NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9746-pkg1.run в конце мне выдало ошибку что у меня разные версии ядра,поругалось на nvidia.ko, хотя я делал и urpmi binutils и urpmi kernel-source (все стояло кстати уже) и версию смотрел uname -r
все одинаковое
тогда в чем же дело??? и что мне теперь делать??

щас попробовал 7676 тоже не стали компилироваться или че у них там за процесс идет ERROR: Unable to build the NVIDIA kernel module.

Сто пудов вы как-то криво ядро поставили.

Устанавливать-апгрейдить ядро в Мандриве, насколько я понимаю, это совсем не тривиальная задача, так что пока могу вот послать вас в поиск по этому разделу мандривовскому, тут многие с ядром бились, ну и материалы наверху в прикреплённых темах - как устанавливать пакеты и прочее. И дело тут совсем не в версиях драйвера, с этой стороны всё ясно, если NVidia говорит legacy -- так legacy и надо ставить.

а как я ядро могу не так поставить?? там из настроек только раскладка клавиатуры и набор пакетов из которых я только офис убираю... и все... я бы даже если хотел ничего изменить не смог - всю работу делает инсталятор!

У меня была похожая ситуация со старой видеокарточной от NVidia. Решилась установкой более старой версии драйвера из legacy.
Исходники ядра установлены пакетным менеджером? Можно попробовать (но очень осторожно!) зайти в папку с исходниками и прогнать make oldconfig. Не знаю, поможет ли...

а по тому что ты писал выше - так тебе же сам установщик и сказал -

что тебе надо поставить не обычные , а легаси дрова
последние версии дров от н-видиа не поддерживают старые жпу , поэтому тебе надо ставить только легаси
а насчёт исходников - поставь себе исходники ядра из рпм-ки
только точно подбери если у тебя 2007.0 мандрива - то в рпм-ке с исходниками должно быть почти в конце тоже 2007.0
не перепутай с 2007.1
а скачать рпм-ку , и не мучаться потом чтоб насчёт разных конфигов ядра , для установки разных девайсов , можно здесь
