хотелось бы Центр управления компьютером
ну никак без него не разберусь.... не могу понять какие устройства определились, какие нет.... очень нужен жпрс модем (нокиа N93). Как флэшка работает, а дальше не могу разобраться куда смотреть.... Через настройку сети вроде модем видит но непонятно как соединение установить. Через kppp ничо не видит.... Вобщем я в замешательстве...

А на каком устройстве модем висит? Что-нибудь типа /dev/ttyUSB0 там может быть. Короче говоря это устройство и надо в kppp загонять, а если там такого нет в списке, то ссылочку символическую замутить надо вездесущего /dev/modem на ваше устройство.
А что касается центра управления полетами - мне нравится webmin (это что-то типа центра управления, но в браузере, зато можно и по сети).

да я сам толком не знаю, определяет он модем когда телефон подключаю (nokia n93 в режиме smart suit) или нет.... в dmesg без ста грам не разберёшься... в мандриве удобно было, открыл список устройств и видно, что скушал а что нет... webmin почему-то в репозиториях отсутствует. Попозже погуглю.... а ещё варианты есть? Или хотяб чтоб устройства поглядеть.... YaST меня радует, думаю должно быть что-то похожее в красной шляпе...

Давайте dmesg сюда тогда, а webmin можно скачать тут http://webmin.com/ там он в rpm есть - его и качайте.
