Вечер добрый.
Значит ситуация такая:
обновил драйвера видеокарты ati radeon 9600, брал с сайта ati.
После чего в Xfce пропала поддержка частоты обновления экрана 100гц и полностью везде установился очень мелкий шрифт - читать практически невозможно. Полез в xorg.conf -
там все впорядке, но почимуто присутствовали 2 строки описания видеокарты. Решил откатит дрова
заменив xorg.conf на старый - частота обновления экрана снова стала 100 и шрифт в Xfce стал прежним,
но вот в остальных приложениях остался мелким, включая страницы в браузере.
Пытался искать инфу в гугле - ничего действенного не нашел . Шрифт всеже напрягает - глаза уже болят.
Забыл добавить - по совместительности еще стоит гном.
Поставил таки драйвер на видюху.. на этот раз все заработало (появилась поддержка 3D и т.д.),
но опять всплыли теже проблемы.
xorg.conf после установки дров принял следующий вид:

Где видно что появилась еще одна секция Monitor, верхняя была раньше.
И щас соотвественно не работает 100гц на мониторе и мелкий шрифт.
При удалении старой секции Monitor и добавлении в новую строчек
xorg.conf после установки дров принял следующий вид:
ИМХО решение очевидно. Посмотри на секцию ServerLayout и что представляют собой ссылки в ней на монитор и видеокарту. Нужно просто скомбинировать раздвоившиеся секции Monitor и Device.
. Шрифт всеже напрягает - глаза уже болят.
