Сборка ядра 0_о

Собираю ядро версии 2.6.23.1 основываясь на фак http://melody-x.nm.ru/ (Ставим ядро 2.6, или Ядерная физика для домохозяйки. Версия 2.0)
Без заплаток
Настроил конфиг
Собираю в такой последовательности:
make bzImage
(собрать ядро)
make modules
(собрать модули)
от пользователя root:
make modules_install
(установить модули)
make install
(установить ядро)
Все проходит гладко до make install, тут пишет такое

Код: Выделить всё

Fatal: open /dev/hdc: No such device or address

в чем проблема?

Скрипт для раздела с точкой монтирования "/boot" почему-то подставляет "/dev/hdc", должно быть, наверное "/dev/hdc1" или 2, 3 ...

Вместо make install можно просто скопировать /usr/src/linux-2.6.23.1-my/arch/i386/boot/bzImage в /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.23.1-my и вручную подправить загрузчик. Если нужен initrd, то его тоже надо создать вручную, но если "основываясь на фак...", то он вам не нужен.
Компьютер служит для решения тех проблем, которых до изобретения компьютера не существовало

Вот разобрался ядро собралось - работает.
только вот ошибок много....

Это он тебе говорит, что устройство hdd (это ST3120026A, ATA DISK drive), имеет ошибки ввода/вывода в указаных сектрах. Может быть у тебя там бэдэ появились:-)

Я всегда собирал ядра 2.6.* так:
make && make modules_install && make install -- самый простой и действенный способ. Попробуй так, и напиши -- изменилось-ли количество ошибок.

А раньше винт нормально работал?

У меня два винта один сата на котором и стоит линь а второй IDE slave на 2 шлейфе (ST3120026A, на который он и ругается)

Его раньше не было)) . Но из винды он нормально работает (разбит на два раздела НТФС по ~60Гб).
Ща попробую его физически отключить, посмотрю че скажет....
А так как можно в Линухе отключить его проверку?

Надо убрать из загрузки проверку корневой фс. /etc/init.d/checkroot но ты, как я понял не можешь этого сделать. Лучше его полностью форматнуть(в смысле убить таблицу разделов). Может помочь.
