Помогите настроить 3D,драйвера для GF7600GT(Nvidia) не дают опции 3D.

Что делали для того чтоб его настроить ?
Какой дистр ?
Версия дров ?
Ошибки, логи ?

dkms-nvidia97xx - NVIDIA kernel module for NVIDIA Architecture support​ 
NVIDIA Architecture support for Linux kernel.

В утилите настройки оборудования выбираю Vendor NV 8300-8500, графическая оболочка не грузится, запускаю drakconf, выбираю vesa проприетарные драйвера, все ок + 3D!

Интересно что здесь http://www.nvidia.ru/object/linux_supported_ru.html не обозначена поддержка серии 8ххх....
Однако в ALT 4.0 LiveCD GPU есть!
Кто-нибудь ставил карточки 8300-8800? Подскажите в чем может быть проблема.

Драйвер 97xx для старых карточек. Для вашей карты нужен какой-нибудь 100.xxxx

Скачал драйвер с сайта производителя, установил. Поставил так же NVIDIA-X-Server Setting.
Сделал все как Установка драйверов NVIDIA - LinuxForum
В утилите свою карту вижу, все ок, а вот в менеждере оборудования все тот же неизвесный девайс.

Я так думаю, у меня не было исходников ядра. Закачал менеджером rpm kernel-source "kernel-source-2.6.17.13mdv"
Теперь он лежит тут: /usr/src/linux
Теперь у меня вопрос вот по этой части:

Здесь: http://rpmfind.net/ тоже нет пакетов для мандривы. Вообще нужны мне они или нет?! Если да, где искать?
Версия gcc такая 4.1.2-1mdv2007.1.i586 и вот это есть gcc-cpp

Модуль скомпилировался значит исходники были ;). Прочитайте в README как должен выглядеть xorg.conf, и убедитеcь что он у вас такой каким должен быть. А потом покажите вывод glxinfo

Думается мне что первого(нормального определения карты) вы не добьетесь т.к. релиз 2007.1 был до выхода ГеФорсов восьмой серии. И что такое метис?
И кстати напишите с какой ошибкой падают иксы. Гугл ничего похожего на ваш indeferer не находит...

Это менеджер трехмерного стола для Mandriva. Честно говоря, практического применения не нахожу ему, просто хотел посмотреть как это выглядит. У себя поставил Beryl и доволен.

А ошибку он не пишет после установки метиса, просто после авторизации идет загрузка фона, он не появляется, а видим курсо в режиме выполнения, и он двигается. Но так он стоит несколько минут, приходится через резет запускать. Потом без иксов отключать трехмерный режим и выбирать весовский драйвер.

Скорее всего так, поставил Mandriva 2008.0, карта определилась, все, нормально, но без 3D, драйвера c NVIDIA только не ставятся, пишет что отсутствует nvidia.co. Пробовал 169 бета версию, то же самое. Поставил vesa драйвер и включил 3D, Metisse заработало, но рабочий стол стал ужасно тормозить.

Откатился на Mandriva 2007.1, поставил драйвер, запустил glxgear, все нормально, 9000 fps.
По форуму много разных тем, есть способы решения или выводы, неплохо было бы модераторам собрать это в одну тему. Не считая темы по установке.
ИМХО.

Сегодня логотои NVidia сам появился, не знаю почему, я ничего не менял. Все работает нормально. :unsure:
Так же выставил 24-х битный цвет, теперь видео нормально отображается, раньше оттенки и полутона искажались, долго не мог понять в чем дело.

О себе:
Kubuntu 7.10, GeForce 8600, всё делал по инструкциям на различных форумах.
Compiz вылетал после любых моих действий (меню KDE, запуск приложения = прорисовка окна на экране). Ошибки не помню какие были.
Взял второй ноут, поставил всё точно также, заработало. На всякий случай скопировал файл xorg.conf со второго ноута на первый. На первом всё заработало. И что я делал не так тоже не понял. Но в Вашеам случае, Xenotnik, вообще чудеса.

Да уж, даже Beryl стал работать как надо, тьфу-тфу. Появилась прозрачная панелька для "свернуть", по рабочим столам преключаться окна стали... Неужели это связано с тем, что я на 24 бита выставил цветность... Или конфиг просто переписался менеджером корректно при этом.
Правда не при каждой перезагрузке лого выходит, ну и фиг с ним, главное чтобы работало.
