RAID и Mandriva 2008

Имеем мать Intel Server Board S5000PAL со встроенным RAID
Винты SAS
Mandriva 2008
Нужно поставить данную ОС на RAID 1

На диске есть дрова, но только для RH и Suse
Я новичек в никсах - подскажите, направьте на истинный путь...
На CD с сервером нашел такой вот образ дискеты(*.img правда для RH4)

Дело в том что он не то что raid не видит, он и диски не видит. т.к. они судя по всему SAS

Дело в том что он не то что raid не видит, он и диски не видит. т.к. они судя по всему SAS

Ридми есть какой? Почитать надо. И на сайт производителя сходите, может так какая дока есть...
Просто дрова могут быть и под 2.4.хх ядро. Надо посмотреть, как чип контроллера зовётся...

Follow the procedure given below to install Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology II Software RAID Stack at the time of Installation. 1) Create a RAID array using the Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology II RAID BIOS Console. 2) Boot your system using SLES OS-image Disk 3) When first screen come up press F5/6 (F5 for SLES10 or F6 for SLES9) key to load a driver, and in the text tab ЁC type brokenmodules=ahci, then select installation menu option 4) Insert DUD when it is prompted 5) Proceed with installation As SLES is not updating the Driver and not creating initrd image by itself. So we need to do that manually using script file. Follow following steps carefully to do that. 6) When the Basic installation finishes the system will prepare for initial reboot. This is after installing selected packages from CD’s, Update Configuration, Copy file to installed system and after installing the boot manager. Before rebooting the system a small window will pop up in which Seconds before rebooting your system displayed. Press STOP button to prevent rebooting the system. 7) Press Ctrl+Alt+F2 and go to directory /update/000/install #cd /update/000/install 8) Run script update.post2 #./update.post2 9) Press Ctrl+Alt+F7 and select Ok in the Small window that show Now rebooting your system 10) System automatically reboots. Follow the procedure below: 1) Create RAID array on on the RAID controller using the RAID BIOS Console Utility. 2) Boot RedHat EL4.0 U3 from primary controller and mount the dud floppy. #mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy. 3) Unzip modules.cgz file on driver update disc to get driver images for different RedHat EL4.0 kernels #mkdir -p /home/megasr #cd /home/megasr #cp /mnt/floppy/modules.cgz . #gunizip -S .cgz modules.cgz It will generate a new file called modules. #cpio -ivd < modules 4) Load scsi mid layer modules and Install megasr driver for running kernel #modprobe scsi_mod #cd /home/megasr #insmod <running kernel>/megasr.o 3.3 Install megasr as a secondary device (Build with initrd image) This is preferred if RAID controller is used as a secondary device. Вот честное слово, не пойму, зачем ставить Мандриву 2008 на серверную платформу.
Может таки CentOS или SLES?

Ну если очень хочется, можно попытаться подсунуть драйвер РедХата, например megasr-09.21.0914.2007-1-rhel50-ga-all-raid5.img
Образ на флопик можно залить например утилитой WinImage

Дальше по инструкции:
3.1.3 Installing RHEL5 on RAID with onboard SAS (1064e/1068) controller

1) Create a RAID array using the Intel Embedded Server RAID Technology II RAID BIOS Configuration Utility.
2) Boot your system using RHEL disc one.
3) At boot prompt type "linux dd"
4) Insert driver update floppy disc when asked.
5) Complete installation with RHEL CD

Можно еще попробовать загрузиться с одного из дисков, что дали вместе с сервером, и запустить утилиту Unhandled installation.

Грузиться с диска который дали с сервером - пробовал. Создаю рейд и все такое, он кидает дрова и т.д. в конце он говорит, вставьте первый установочный диск RH. Соответственно ставлю мандриву, а он его не хочет принимать...
С диском счас попробую

Попробовал с диском.
При установке нажимаю F5
Вставляю диск, кстати там получились вот эти файлы:

Уже незнаю что и делать ....

Ставить RH4, RH5 или SLES9. CentOS 5 тоже подойдет, ничем не хуже Мандривы.
Ну или обратиться к разработчику за драйвером.
