поставил мандриву 2008.0
после установки заметил, что звук на наушниках играется только на левый динамик.
при выкручивании баланса вправо в наушниках - тишина.
ЗЫ мать ASUS P5B-V, звук встроенный 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller
ALSA ))) (проигрывает стерео только на одну сторону )))

а правый наушник рабочий?
я тоже так как-то мучался.... оказалось провод отходил.. а в винде проверил -вроде работает... плясал с бубном... не хочет... проверил еще раз - не работат

Решения не нашли? А то у меня такая же проблемка, тока в 2007.0. Звук тока из правой колонки(на ноуте), либо из правого ужа(на наушниках)! Причем появилось это после изменения разрешения экрана, а до этого нормально было.....

Балансов там несколько. В alsamixer точно все нормально? Можно ведь и программно загасить один из каналов.

Что самое странное - визуально все в норме. в alsamixer тоже все показывает нормально (((
