Нет не уверен.

Как проверить?

Раздобыл rpm-ку. ругается на неудовлетворенность пакетов xfree86-libs. Где это искать? Как вообще посмотреть что нужно для установки пакета и есть установленно ли это у меня?

Надо изучить формат spec файла используемого дистрибутива и rpm --showrc.
Учитывая, вопросы которые ты задаешь, весьма рано браться за сборку пакетов.

Проблема решается очень просто:

1. Подключаем официальные репозитарии (те, что в интернете, т.е. полные - одних установочных дисков недостаточно).
2. Поиском в rpmdrake ищем требуемые файлы по всем пакетам и ставим те, которые содержат эти файлы, а также (обязательно!) все их зависимости.
3. Пробуем скомпилироваться. Если опять чего-то не хватает, возвращаемся к п.2.

Замечания:
1. Следует подключать не только репозитарии main/release и contrib/release, но и соответствующие ветки update.
2. Качать придется много.
3. Устанавливать пакеты от других дистрибутивов крайне не рекомендуется - почти наверняка работать не будет.
4. Конкретно файл /usr/include/X11/Xlib.h сотоварищи содержится в пакете libx11_6-devel или lib64x11_6-devel (в зависимости от архитектуры).
5. На систему для архитектуры x86_64 следует устанавливать devel-пакеты именно для этой архитектуры, а не для i586.
