ASUS x50n (t55 nVidia 700m 610m) (как заставить Linux(SUSE итг) работать)

Помогите пожалуйста разобраться с этим ноутом x50n
После установки дистр SUSE 10.3 mandriva 08 ubunta зависает при перезагрузке нет звука неставяться дрова на видео.

Буду рад любой помощи ....

Определитесь с дистрибутивом, подключите репозитории, почитайте wiki и faq соответствующего дистрибутива на предмет установки тех же драйверов видео.

в даный момент определился на SUSE 10.3
с умел настроить видио geforce 7000m
но мучаюсь с решением проблемы зависания при перезагрузке обновил BIOS поиграл с настройками acpi неопытный подскажие если знаете....
репозиторий подключил лбновил далее вкл стопор.........немогу придумать не чего

С перезагрузкой проблема пока никак не решается. Суппорт АСУСа всячески отбрыкивается от линукса.
Звук поднимается добавлением в /etc/modprobe.conf строки options shd-hda-intel position_fix=1 model=lenovo

Конечно хотлось бы работать полноцено но если это неврзможно буду сидеть под кривой виндой досталаона...

Отчего же невозможно??? У меня такой бук, правда чуть помощнее (ТК-57). Как только купил даже смотреть на висту не стал, при первой загрузке в привод сразу же ушел диск Gentoo 2007.0 и пошло-поехало Далее была безжалостно уничтожена наклейка "свиста" и прикелены 2 новые: "Powered by Linux", "Powered by Gentoo" Так что дерзайте и будет вам счастье.

ВАУ!!! А можешь процесс установки расписать (у меня сетевуха так и не прилепилась при установке(если можно поподробнее)
Я сейчас сижу под федорой9 и у меня вот какие траблы - нет звука и не перезагружает

У меня такой же ноут ТК-57. Работал с ним в 8.04 и 8.10 Убунтах. Проблемы у них практически аналогичные и их немало, но в последней проблема со звуком отпала из-за нового ALSA, а остальные вроде решаются с переменным успехом. Перезагрузка исправляется дописыванием в меню GRUB загрузчика (menu.lst) после строчек с "linux headers 2.6-тра-та-та quiet splash" в конце "all_generic_ide" (без кавычек).
