Через малое время инет пропадает

Всем привет.
Долго мучался поднять ВПН на Мандриве 2007.1 - провайдер зараза сам нифига не знает, так что мучался сообща с товарищем. Вроде бы заработало. Только вот проблема - инет включается, пинги идут - только что-то начнешь делать (аська, браузер) - останавливается... Модем мигает, кагбе, а вот пингов никаких - 100% пакетов теряется. От чего такое бывает?

Запускаем браузер, например набираем mail.ru Загружается, строка состояния загрузки в лисе не доходит даже до половины и... все. При этом:
