Устанавливаю Дженту, скачал дерево портежей, на следующий день emerge --sync, и получил сообщение об обновленной версии portage. Точно по хэндбуку emerge --oneshot portage и получаю следующую ошибку:

Можно ли это как-то исправить? В 2007.0 таких проблем не было.
Ну, я прям не знаю, я все делаю по хэндбуку, а там написано /etc/localtime. И кроме того, предупреждение о local time zone пропало, а вот все остальное, к сожалению, осталось на своих местах.

Больше чем уверен, что после emerge --sync в сообщениях была просьба сделать еще кое-что кроме emerge portage. Например revdep-rebuild или python-updater

Нет, не было. Проверил способом полной переустановки. Было только это. И даже после переустановки проблема осталась. Думал, что у меня битый stage3, но md5 сходится. Ладно, будем искать дальше.
Проблема решилась? У меня нечто похожее. Не компилится libdrm. Самое интересное, компиляция проходит нормально, а вот устанавливаться не хочет. Со всеми версиями так.

В принципе, что это значит, понятно... Проблем с оборудованием у меня быть не может, всё остальное ведь работает. bash пересобирал, не помогало.
Если у кого есть скомпиленный пакет libdrm (любой версии), скомпиленный под платформу i686 или athlon64 (32-битный), просьба - сделайте quickpkg и выложите, очень нужен этот пакет. А с проблемой лучше бы потом разобраться.
Опа, вот это отрыли тему. Та моя проблема была решена скачиванием установочного диска 2008.0-r1 (просто 2008.0 то ли не захотел дружить с железом, то ли просто записался коряво, не было желания выяснять), после чего вопрос разрешился сам собой.
У меня проблема решилась emerge --sync, как ни забавно. Вероятно, при повреждении файловой системы повредились файлы в каталоге /usr/portage и fsck это не восстановил.
Но появились другие проблемы, смотреть соседние темы. Особенно напрягает глюк с блокированием экрана, уж не возвращаться ли на kde-3.5.10?
