Не работает клавиатура и мышь в xorg

Здравствуйте.

Обновлял кубунту до 8.10 и дообновлялся)) Обновлять решил не все пакеты сразу, а поэтапно, начал с иксов:

В синглмод обновил xserver-xorg-core, видео-драйвера и xserver-input-all.
Т.е. xserver-input-kbd и xserver-input-mouse установлены.
При загрузке иксы стартуют, но как уже понятно не реагируют на мышу и клавиатуру.

Я не понял почему, но
dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
пишет конфиг без секций InputDevices, т.е. там только screen и пр.
Тогда я добавил их из старого конфига. Вот что получилось

Ясно дело, что конфиги от старой версии не подходят, но почему он их автоматически не определяет?
Что можно сделать?

Железо ASUS F5Jr, Xorg.0.log в аттаче, если нужна еще информация, спрашивайте, а не ругайтесь

Следуя мануалам на Ubuntu Release Notes было сказано:
