Можно ли прописать файл подкачки на жестком диске при запуске с CD? И если можно то как?

Решил завязать с мастдаем и нашел себе диск с Linux Parsix 1.5r2 - i38. При загрузке с диска вылезает меню выбора способа запуска. После выбора Любого варианта кроме текстового идет загрузка, потом картинка на экране упятеряестя с пересекчением, т.е. прочитать текст невзможно, щелкнуть мышкой проблематично. Пробовал в настройках ставить 640*480*16, не спасает.

Если проблема в дровах, а) где их скачать
б) как прописать в текстовом режиме

Если это не лечится, можите посоветовать другую сборку? Обновить железо невозможно. Заранее благодарен.

По советам в этой теме сменил ОС на Ubuntu 8.10
При установке что-то загружается и.. все. Мышь работает, курсор-стрелка. Фоновый рисунок виден отчетливо.
Что теперь можно сделать?

Ubuntu поставьте. Потом персидский туда прикрутите.

Всем спасибо, сменил ОС на Ubuntu 8.10 (скачано с их же сайта), теперь не могу установить. Все загружается, вылезает фоновый экран и... все

оно самое :) требует 384, а у меня 256
Есть возможность сделать файл подкачки на жестком диске в строке запуска?
