Ubuntu 8.10 и Wireless

Здравствуйте.

Такая проблемма. Network manager видит сеть и показывает, что сигнал хороший.
После подключения к сети сигнала уже нет.

В чем проблема?

Теперь вообще не подключается к сети. Несколько раз запрашивает пароль и ничего.

Все делаю вроде правильно.

Эта одна из осовных проблем, по которым я не отказываюсь от windows.

Кстати, параметры сети:

wep-key: on

netmask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 194.164.0.1

Эм..со стороны модераторов я могу показаться чересчур "настойчивым", но мне кажется проблема из-за того, что описано здесь.

В теме ни конфигов, ни лога подключения, ни подробного описания проблемы....а автор еще надеется что ему кто-то ответит...В общем тему переношу в "Момент истины", а после того как автор сделает подробное описание с приведением конфигурации и лога пусть отпишется мне в личку.

А есть разница? Одна использует apt-get другая rpm, хотя это видимо поверхностно.

Но суть в другом, и в сюзе и в убунте не хочет подключаться мой ноут к вай-фай сети.

Не выкладывал конфиги, потому что wifi на работе. И вчера пробывал пакет wicd.Но снова безрезультатно.
После того, как прописал все параметры сети и выбрал ключ шифрования wep-paraphase, то при отключениии интерфейса соединение прекращается.
Если же выбрать wep-shared, то соединение зависает на проверке подлинности.

Точно Ubuntu 8.10? У Вас в ОС openSUSE 11.

Кстати, сейчас загрузился с LiveCD Gnome openSUSE, там тоже самое. До подключения networkmanager показывает уровень сигнала, после подключения к сети сигнал = 0% (стабильно 0).

Для подключения к вай-фай сети вместо networkmanager использую wicd.

Если же выбрать wep-shared, то соединение зависает на проверке подлинности.

Описание проблемы: не подключается к ниже указанной сети!!!!!!!!

Карточка: Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG.
Драйвер: iwl3945.

Параметры сети:
SSID Durnamika
mode: Ad-Hoc
wep-key: on
ip: 192.168.0.11
netmask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.0.1

Вместо networkmanager'а использую wicd.
Прописал все параметры сети и выбрал ключ шифрования wep-passphrase, но при подключении к сети соединение прекращается.
Если же выбрать wep-shared, то соединение зависает на проверке подлинности.

Поменял драйвер weхt на ralink legacy и подключился к сети. НО сигнал равен 0%, хотя при сканировании сигнал есть.
Другие драйвера (в wicd) дают тот же результат, что и wext.

Пинг сервера не проходит при установке драйвера на ralink, пишет что не доступный адрес.
Также мне непонятно отрицательное значение dBm, когда установлен ralink. При установке wext значение никакого dBm нет, а есть количество сигнала.
