Недавно обнаружилось (хотел настроить VPN, а мне выдали, типа : ppp0 device not found), что Ubuntu (8.10 если важно, до этого стояла 8.04 и была та же проблема) не выкупает что на ноуте HP 530 есть 56К модем. На сайте производителя дрова есть только для Winды.
Вопрос тогда такой :
Поддерживает ли ядро такие девайсы как мой модем (как это узнать кстати ?)
если да, то {
вопрос : можно ли по lspci (вывод см. ниже) судить что просто нету дров
если да, то {
вопрос : какие дрова нужны ?
}
}
иначе {
вопрос : как включить чтобы ядро поддерживало ?
}
