в дистрибутиве Debian уже сразу подключены репозитории XMMS, которые включают сам плеер, скины и плагины к нему! Подскажите какие репозитории подключить в Ubuntu 8.10 чтобы получать плагины, скины и т.п.

Или пользоваться audacious, если не ошибаюсь, это и есть поддерживаемый на сегодня форк классического XMMS.

Даже в Debian, XMMS1 присутствует только в Etch, а в свежем релизе Lenny такого пакета (и всей его мишуры вспомогательных) уже нет.
Видимо основная ветка первой версии окончательно загнулась. Да и к лучшему.
