Приветы!
использую KDEmod 4.2, поставил себе conky, запускаю в консоли #conky, а мне выписывает:

подобная трабла у меня наблюдалась еще с некоторыми приложениями, точно не могу сказать с какими!

А вы сначала объясните, в чем смысл запускать коньки под рутом.
Если в Linux не существует решения вашей проблемы... То у вас неправильная проблема.

ну вроде ссылается на отсутствие файла конфигурации - да не шарю я в английском =)

а помогло мне вот это:

cp /etc/xdg/conky/conky.conf ~/.conkyrc


просто скопировать файл конфигурации в домашнюю директорию в .conkyrc ;)
