Использую XFCE 4.6, ставил xorg-xdm, но он каждый раз просит ввести логин и пароль, после ввода опять просит все это ввести снова и так по кругу! =(
В качестве альтернативы поставил SLiM.
в /etc/inittab выбираю id:5:initdefault: и x:5:respawn:/usr/bin/slim >& /dev/null
Но никак не пойму как в нем реализовать автовход в систему, чтобы не вводить каждый раз логин и пароль юзера!
И косяк в том, что каждый раз при выключении или перезагрузки системы мне выдается окошко с сообщением
org.freedesktop.hal.power-management.reboot no <-- (action, result)
c xdm походу проблема в отсутствии какого-то xsm, потому что
/etc/X11/xdm/Xsession: line 47: /usr/bin/xsm: No such file or directory
/etc/X11/xdm/Xsession: line 47: exec: /usr/bin/xsm: cannot execute: No such file or directory
Насчет SLiM:
поставил в /etc/slim.conf значение auto_login yes, все равно не работает, вот мой конфиг на случай:

Я не пойму, вам нужен менеджер входа в систему или автовход? Если первое - зачем в таком случае автовход? Ежели автовход - зачем ставить лишние пакеты, если есть более простые решения?
Если в Linux не существует решения вашей проблемы... То у вас неправильная проблема.

Мне нужен именно автовход в систему, без менеджера, просто я не знал как это без него реализовать!
