На работе стоит у меня видиокарточка каменного века – GeForce4 MX 440
Поставил я туда иксы.
Драйвера ставил nvidia-drivers
Только предварительно ограничил версию драйвера (в /etc/portage/package.mask). Поставил постарше:
* x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers
Latest version installed: 173.14.18
Итак! Запускаться с Driver "nvidia" отказался!
Говорит что "не определился экран"Возможно, что надо в конфе дописать поточнее параметры монитора..
Или же это из-за версии драйверов (нужно ставить еще старше)
Ну и ладно бы.. так с Driver "nv" тоже беда!
Запускается... startx и показывает... но отключается клавиатура и мышь! Такую историю уже встречал, захожу по ssh убиваю процессы иксов (kill -9 <id>) но! на мониторе тажа самая картина!
а процессы уже мертвы в ps as! пешу reboot... вот это вообще удивляет input-ы же вроде те что надо О_оКод: Выделить всё

и не знаю, что лучше сделать.. Ранее както под ati-шные видюхи настраивал и все работало как надо.
