nvidia-drivers-96*** (Старые дрова не хотят вставать с новым ядром)

Доброе утро, вобщем пытался даунгрейдиться на старые дрова....У меня с ними корректно работает фреймбуффер, получилась вот такая вот хрень... Незнаю уже что и думать.

96-е и 180-е дрова предназначены для разных карт и они не взаимозаменяемы.

Я думаю, что для автора это не секрет. Проблема как раз в сборке legacy-драйверов с новым ядром.

там есть проверка версии и нужных patchlevel'ов, и, если она не проходит - то выводится это сообщение и ebuild прекращает выполняться

думаю проще всего покопаться там и в самом худшем случае, можно попробовать собрать драйвер руками (см README в этом же каталоге). будет ли ваша система после этого работать устойчиво - не могу сказать

Кстати говоря - что есть "hh1" в "2.6.30-hh1", это последствия наложенного патча или просто выставленный EXTRA_VERSION? Возможно, что стоит попробовать ядро без патчей или с минимальным количеством оных - gentoo-sources или ванильное.

Думаю попробовать установить NVIDIA-drivers вручную, ведь по сути ebuild ничего сверхъестественного и не делает. Там же свой инсталлятор. portage просто его запускает в non-interactive режиме.
