Решено: Настройка xorg на vmware

Приветствую!

Прошу помочь мне с настройкой Xorg на Slackware 12.2, установленной на Vmware. Сначала установил без X и КDE. Потом, используя installpkg, установил все из установочной папки "Х", вроде больше для тестирования X не нужно, KDE установлю потом. xorg.conf сгенирировал программой xorgsetup и добавил строки о мониторе, полученные программой gtf.

Вот эта ошибка, Fatal server error: could not open default font 'fixed', не понятно из-за чего возникает. Шрифты по указанным путям доступны, xfs я не использую. Так в чём же дело?
P.S. Обычно X сервер настраивается автоматически, а здесь в первый раз настраиваю X вручную.

Господа,

я продолжаю попытки докопаться до истины в свое проблеме. Пока пришел к выводу, что настройки xorg.conf у меня правильные, т.к. со стандартным xorg.conf-vesa возникает такая же ошибка. Было бы здорово, если кто-нибудь пояснил должен ли использоваться сервер шрифтов xfs в Slackware 12.2.
Не пойму где ж этот default font 'fixed' искать.

Прошу прощения за беспокойство, проблему решил, тема может быть закрыта.

Корень проблемы в том, что я установил файлы из папки Х не сразу, а потом. В результате не запустились два важных скрипта. Все, что нужно - запустить их вручную:
cd /
/var/log/setup/setup.04.mkfontdir
/var/log/setup/setup.05.fontconfig
