Проблема в Убунту 704

Поставил когда-то Wine, не когда не пользовался. Обновлялся автоматически.
Сейчас решил запустить конфиг, программа ругается что нет каталогов виндовых, диски не обозначены. Снес, потом поставил заново. Тоже самое.
Опять снес, попробовал скомпилировать сам. Опять ругается.
И вот здесь наверное я где-то напортачил.
Снес командой: sudo dpkg --purge wine
Так теперь Synaptic считает, что Wine не установлен, а система считает, что Wine есть, и в терминале Wine отзывается и в Гноме в окнах меню ссылка на него появляется, но он не запускается.
Как его удалить теперь до конца?
Очередная команда из терминала на удаление дает ответ, что программа не установлена.

Вот, что сейчас имеем в терминале:

Раз вы его компилировали, то удаляется он командой make uninstall из каталога исходников.

Удалил. Поставил заново через apt-get

Отсутствует ~/.wine
Дальше не совсем помню, но вроде для етерсофтоского вайна нужно выполнить wine без параметров,
а для обычного wine <command>, могу ошибаться.

Каталог ~/.wine существует , но в нем только два файла system.reg & user.reg

Как тогда правильно установить Wine?

Да, сам конфигуратор запускается, но изменения не сохраняются

Удалил. Поставил заново через apt-get

А если попробовать winecfg без sudo? В Debiane, например, wine под root'ом по умолчанию не запускается.

Запусти winecfg из домашней директории

Попробуй удалить папку .wine и запусти winecfg из домашней директории.
