Принт-сервер CUPS Ubuntu 8.04 + клиент Debian etch (ошибка Unable to get printer status (client-error-forbidden)!)

CUPS серевер Ubuntu 8.04. По USB к нему подключен принтер HP 1005 (имя hp1005). Печать работает. ip сервака 192.168.1.118

Статус принтера AZ (на клиенте) Unable to get printer status (client-error-forbidden)! Ни как не могу понять, что не настроил??

в дебиане убираете пакет cups (или cupsys) и ставите cups-client (cupsys-client)
создаете файлик /etc/cups/client.conf
в нем пишете:
ServerName 192.168.1.118

все :-)

А получится при этом на клиентскую машину подцепить еще и сетевой принтер, на который приходится ставить дрова?

ну, вы такого не заказывали :-)
а вообще - надо смотреть, если нескольно серверов в клиенте можно указать, тогда почему нет.
